Behind The Portrait Boutique

Hello, we’re Kendell & Evelyn.

We are the heart behind The Portrait Boutique (TPB), and when you choose to work with us, we’ll be personally involved in creating your portrait experience.

But we also know that creating something truly personal sometimes means bringing the right creative individuals to the table, people whose talents complement our own and who share our belief that your portraits should be thoughtfully created, beautifully crafted, and made to last.

When the vision calls for it, we can bring those talents together around you and what we are creating with you.

So, who are we exactly?

Before The Portrait Boutique was a business, many of the ideas behind it were already part of the way we lived.

Like most people, technology is part of our everyday lives, and we appreciate what it makes possible. But given the choice, we tend to be drawn toward things that are a little more tangible: An old wristwatch. A photograph you can hold. A book on a shelf or dinner around a table with people you care about. You know… things with stories. Things to cherish. Things made well enough to keep.

It only made sense to us that those same values would find their way into The Portrait Boutique.

Our Background

For years, much of our work together has been commissioned commercial portraiture within the fashion industry. We’ve worked alongside designers, professional models, and creative teams in an environment where every detail of an image matters, from lighting and styling to the smallest adjustment in how someone is photographed. That work shaped the way we see.

It taught us that refinement comes from hundreds of small decisions, and those are the details you’ll see in your finished portrait and what will make it something special.

The Portrait Boutique brings that experience into a much more personal kind of work.

When you contact The Portrait Boutique, you’re talking with us. We’ll listen to what you’re imagining, ask questions, and help you develop the idea.

There isn’t a formula we’re trying to fit you into. You may know exactly what you want, or you may simply know there’s something meaningful you want to preserve.

Either is a good place to begin.

You decide what deserves to be remembered and what you want to pass down. We’re here to help you create it.

You don’t need to understand portraiture or have all the details figured out.

It doesn’t begin with a camera.

It begins with a conversation.
